Eastlake company develops robot program to detect guns in schools

If this thing can detect guns the way they claim, and I have my doubts, then why not gut the gimmicky robot, install the hardware on the back-end, and mount cameras at the entry points? He holds the gun directly in front of the robot. Cool! Now back up 100′, and let me see if it still can do that.
